A late summer wedding with a surprise of afternoon rain,
A charming and blissful day to remember...
North meets South in this romantic love story as two hearts conquer miles to be together. Glaiza was living in Adelaide, and Thomas was in Switzerland. They would fly back and forth to each other until one day, she accidentally found a note about her. "She is the one. I want to marry Glaiza". Right there and then, her heartbeat already said Yes.
Little did Glaiza know, that during Thomas' last visit to Adelaide, he spoke with Glaiza's father to ask his daughter's hand for marriage ( a valued Filipino traditional culture).
Love conquers all. And so their family and friends could not be any happier to see them tie the knot.
They chose to have an intimate wedding at the picturesque The Lane Vineyard with 20 of their favourite people enjoying the sweeping views of the Onkaparinga Valley.
The Style
Glaiza and Thomas are both fashion-forward with a heart for luxury, craftsmanship and character. The stunning Filipina bride was an international flight attendant who had seen the world and curated things that only resonated with her style, whilst the Swiss groom was in the luxury watch industry.
Their wedding day style exuded ivory elegance with a simplicity that elevated sophistication.
She wore a silk bridal dress by international Filipino designer Vania Romoff. She paired it with a blue handcrafted viscose and silk-blend satin Manolo Blahnik heels.
Her gracefulness was always candidly met with his romantic gestures.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was at The Lane's pocket of paradise- the Boatshed set along the water's edge.
She walked down by her father along a beautiful path by the pond. There were no dry eyes at this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Their friend beautifully recited an excerpt from the poem If you forget me by italian poet Pablo Neruda.
But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.
The Reception
It showered in the afternoon, the amazing team at The Lane Vineyard, escorted all the guests to the restaurant. It was a perfect time to soak in the romantic moments for the newlyweds whilst the guests enjoyed an aperitif.
Bon Vino, these two made sure they would choose the right place to celebrate their wedding day because fine wine and local produce have a special place in their bond. The Lane's world-class restaurant service and delectable courses perfected the intimate wedding day.
Michelle: Who are your most recommended Wedding Suppliers?
Glaiza and Thomas:
Michelle, you were born to do this job. We knew right away that we will hire you. Such a creative soul. We love your style so much. We worked around you with ease and you really captured the moments and the emotions. Such a talent.
They were exceptional, from the moment we enquired. Angela was so accomodating. To think that we do not have an appointment at that day. She was so helpful and just lovely. Wines are of course good and the food was exceptional!
Celebrant
She was warm from the beginning. Very organised and friendly. She made sure that everything is taken care of from start to finish. Her personalised way of dealing with each of her clients makes her one of the best in her line of work.
Flowers
A colleague and a friend. Maggie is a visionary. She knows our style too well and made sure that the flowers were perfect and tailored to our style.
Cake
Rap’s cakes are so good. It was so good that even the chef in the lane were impressed as well.
